I, in no way, am defending R. What I AM saying is that R is the ONLY celebrity. What I AM saying is the difference. Look at Elvis, Look at Jerry Lee, Look at Woody Allen,,,, etc. It should NOT be an R thing, it should be judge ALL of these people alike
I agree that alot more people than R Kelly is guilty of this. But, the point of the video (as evident in the title) is that black people must stop defending other black people who are guilty of this type of behavior. And, frankly, the what-aboutism needs to stop. Yes, tbere are many others who are guilty of pedophilic behavior but that doesn't exempt R Kelly. Also, can we be nuanced here for a minute. Kelly's debauchery is next level and is a decades long pattern. The point of my video is black people have to stand up for the victims instead of protecting the predators because they can sing or dance or play a sport. Black people didn't care about Elvis or Jerry Lee Lewis. They weren't Woody Allen apologists. We rightfully roasted them but when it's our own we suddenly feel like we have to defend them because we don't have many male role models which is empirically asinine.
